Iā??ve Seen THX in Theater. OMG!

Greetings,
Iā??m a new member to the site, please look for my other postings, for I have some questions, thanks.
OK, now on to the PRE-movie. On Sept. 10th at the Boston Commons Loews Theater THX1138 was being screened. I had walked in to the Theater to take my seat and noticed that there were only 3 other people there (12:30pm). As I was sitting there eating my gummy drops and dreading the god awful piped in fake Loews Radio station, playing bands I never heard of and never ever want to know, a few more people showed up. Now a total of 10 to 12 people are in a 200+ movie theater, it was like having your own private screening.
1. MOVIE. Ok, Iā??m sitting there thinking to myself, ā??How well are they gonna clean up this film, will I see flecks-scratches-blots like in the video we all have. I did see the film a number of years ago at the Harvard Film Archives and it was a pretty good print, but not crisp.
As the lights went down and the first flicker of light hit the screen- a logo appeared for Digital Projection by Sony (or such). ā??WOW, Iā??m gonna see this Projected Digitallyā? great!!! (Star Wars E1 E2 were the only others if seen like that)
All I can say is, GO SEE THIS (if you can) IN THE THEATER. I know that the DVD will be in stores in 2 days but the experience of this film on the BIG screen canā??t be missed. I BEG YOU, please try. If you have a dinky TV set I feel sorry for you.
THX was extremely clear and crisp. No blemishes of any kind were present. Lucas did a great job with the restoring and restoration of this film.
The story seemed more coherent, less convoluted, as if they added some information I did not remember from the original, havenā??t played my VHS copy yet to compare, waiting for DVD .
2. DIGITAL ENHANCEMENTS. All the NEW addition to the film work great and look amazing. The crowed hall expressway, the police factory, the glimpse of a larger city from a window. I must take objection to the post by Julien Dupire about the chase
Quote
I'd regret only one change: the chase. Now before travelling a tunnel and after SRT's death, THX is engaged on a speedway across the city: these scene is badly realized. But all the rest is excellent.
The Speedway transitions made sense, going from the parking lot to a tunnel seems to quick but from the lot to a highway to an closed off-ramp was a great idea. The new chase scene on the speedway in itself was fantastic. I want to see a 2 hour movie of that segment (no, not Fast and the Furious, no thanks). THE ONLY PROBLEM I had was 3 new reworked shots. The lizard in the wiring (now with wings), the added crab-scorpion at SEN feet and the Shell Dwellers. The Dwellers at the end was a good idea (a de-evolved human animal with a tail) but was silly. Just remove the tail and it would have worked.
Over all, this was a triumph for Lucas unlike Star Wars E4 SE which sucked when it was re-released. My opinion of this might change when the SW DVDs are released but Iā??m not holding my breath.
Thanks for you attention,
Ka-Spel

I don't contest the CONCEPT of the CGI chase shots but the camera work. I don't see the 1:42:08 maker in this.
