I've just checked this site out, it says it's updating for next series, which I gather is 14th August. So we have to wait and see what happens next.

I've not worked out the coded message, I think Don must be a mathematical genius to have sussed the code out!  :wink:

Thanks a lot for reposting this here. I did'nt realise they were still discussing it over there, I am gonna have to go and have a look.

Strange how it works on a 7 digit translation, rather than a 5 digit, when we all thought it was 9 digits.

Yes, I noticed the mispelling in the SENONDARY MESSAGE, but put it down to a typo! I was obviously wrong and should've scrutinised it more closely.

PS: Ok - The code works.    It is pretty simple.  :shock:

The replace the V's & W's with 1's & 0's respecively.  You get a string of binary.  Cut the string into 6-digit "words" and convert each 6-digit binary word into base-10.

The substitution is simple.  The letter Z is both numbers 11 & 12.  Y is 13 & 14, etc.  All the way up to A = 61 & 62.

The initial line

is simply
000001 Broadcast Rotation 26x2 U L 110100
or
1 Broadcast Rotation 26x2 U L 52

1 and 52 show the range of the numbers (from 11 to 62) 26x2 tells us that we are looking at a double alphabet (two times 26 letters).  The U and the L were thought to mean uppercase and lowercase but it does not play out that way in the VW message.

So now we have a break for the code when the words are 5-digits long, 6-digits and 7-digits as well.
