let's review, shall we?

okay, as time progresses we all get a little older, and a little wiser. or, in most cases, get a little crazier.
I've seen this film several times like most of you and i can't help but to wonder how ol' george got it right. either he was a modern day prophet, he had insider information, or he just made a lucky guess with or without external influences.

as in one of my earlier posts (way earlier by a couple years) i mentioned the possibility of the asian influence by means of the caste system. recently i discovered as of no surprise to me and probably most of you is the american public education system and other education systems abroad,     that our children are deliberately being taught nothing more than to be "producers"- a state of being likened to mindless, sedated workers.

imagine that, molly wants to be a doctor, instead what was chosen for her future is a waitress.

im sure im not the only one out there noticing this, am i right?

let's make this part 1 of this discussion, if theres anyone out there still left alive on this site ill continue to part 2 discussing the parallels and theories of this movie compared to our world today.

I think he just regurgitated what was around before, notably, 1984, Anthem, Metropolis, Brave New World, The Caves of Steel, The Machine Stops etc.

THX 1138 is just a re-telling (but a rather good one) of an age old story of 'don't let the buggers get you down' freedoms are easily done away with, usually by stealth. I fear we have let our guard down somewhat with the enticement of goodies and the illusion of safety.

Britain's surveillance society is well underway which is a worry if you don't necessarily agree with "if you aren't doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about". The more power governments grab the more they want and to do so they will just make more laws.
