The Writers Almanac and George Lucas

On the Monday, March 26th, 2007 edition of The Writer's Almanac, Garrison Keillor was discussing the writer Joseph Campbell, who wrote "The Hero with 1000 Faces" and was an expert on the Arthurian Legends. He inspired many writers, including George Lucas, who said he could not have written Star Wars without the influence of Joseph Campbell. The Joseph Campbell Foundation website is very interesting. I leave the web address here for your use.

Campbell was the man! A while back my wife took a "video" course about mythology, and had to watch a series of lectures by Campbell on various world mythologies and how they all sort of fit together with each other, and how they all arrived at the same type of structures and beliefs and what not.
Interesting stuff, I was more interested in it than she was
I've not read his books, but I imagine they're just as good.
